I’m tired of pretending like this isn’t an issue

I’m tired of people normalising that not speaking up is okay

I’m tired of seeing young kids question whether they’re good enough

I pray for the person who thinks at the depths of their despair that – that is it

I pray for the person who feels as though their family doesn’t love them or pay attention to them

I pray for the person going through heartache and not knowing that there’s so much good that’s about to come

You feel like your stuck in a tunnel and you can’t see the light at the end

You feel like no matter what you do, there’s no getting out

You feel like doing absolutely anything to forget even if means saying goodbye to your life

You feel like there is nobody out there who cares

Well my friend I CARE

I care if you’re happy and I notice when you pull back from everyone

I care that the person I love can’t see what we all see

I care enough to remind you that you are worth every good thing that’s about to come your way

I care and my heart aches that you feel so alone during your trials

Know that you have a whole team of people who not only support you but love and adore you

Know that regardless of how far you push me I’ll always come back ready to catch you when you fall

Know that even when you give up on yourself, I never will

Know that you are worth the fight

Most importantly know that as long as I’m here you’ll never have to fight this alone

You’re not a pest

You’re not a nuisance

You’re not annoying

You are my friend and you are family

That is why you’re worth it and that is why I’ll always be here
